Situaţia demografică de pe mapamond şi evoluţia populaţiei Republicii Moldova

This article deals with the evolution of the world demographic tendencies, ominous demographic situation in Europe, indices of fruitfulness in different countries and the evolution of the number of inhabitants on the world map in the future. Much attention has been paid to the dynamics of the population in the Republic of Moldova since Independence, the process of depopulation in localities, birth rate, migration, ageing of the population and national demographic expectation. The author also speaks about the necessity of scientific research in the demographic field and supports orientations of the demographic policies in practice according to the vital needs of the country and its social-economic development.
